Staff Software Engineer, Pay By Wallet

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer with strong expertise in Golang and cloud-based deployments. As part of the Pay By Wallet initiative—a core product pillar of Pismo’s non-card response—you will contribute to building a unified API suite that empowers digital wallets to offer seamless, tokenized global transactions across Visa acceptance points. This role requires hands-on development, cloud infrastructure management, and mentoring within a high-performing engineering team.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain projects using Golang, with deployment on AWS. Execute and manage infrastructure using Terraform and other IaC tools. Monitor applications through logs and metrics, ensuring system stability and reliability. Collaborate with product teams to conduct technical analysis and deliver high-quality solutions. Provide technical leadership within the squad by guiding engineering decisions, addressing technical debt, and ensuring best practices in design and observability. Mentor and support other engineers through knowledge-sharing, code reviews, and constructive feedback.

Skills Required

• Must Have: 5+ years of professional experience as a Software Developer. 3+ years of hands-on experience with Golang. 2+ years working with cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure). 2+ years of experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform
